The Season for Gift Certificates

3 Nov

When shopping for a perfect gift, there are many products and options at The Stationery Studio.  In fact, we carry around 20,000 items so the selection is impressive.   You can shop by recipient with personalized gifts for adults, teen gift, kids gifts and baby gifts.  Or you can shop by price, as we’ve curated some of our favorite gifting ideas into easy to shop by price categories where you can filter down to the areas you might be looking for.

nov-giftCertificatesStill, some would prefer for the recipient to make their own special choices so we’ve made this super easy.  You can simply select a $25, $50 or $100 Gift Certificate and have it emailed right to your recipient with your special gift message on it or you can email it to you and print it out so you can gift it personally.  This is the most flexible and easiest option if you are not sure what your gift recipient would enjoy most.

Our gift certificates are easy to use and recipients will have their choice of over 20,000 items.  From personalized stationery to printed napkins, custom address labels, home decor including wood cutting boards, elegant serving trays and barware, the selection is incredible.  The options to personalize their selection will also be their choice including many motifs, typestyle, imprint colors and more.

Shopping options are well organized and your recipient will easily be able to find just the perfect set of notepads or the self-inking stamper, or printed guest towels and the gift certificate will provide choices that they will simply love.  So for the upcoming Christmas gifting season, or for any time of year, a Gift certificate will make a great idea for bridal showers, graduations, Mother’s Day and more.

Best wishes,

Unique Personalized Gift Wrap

20 Oct

Create a special memory this year with wonderfully unique custom gift wrap.  Those holiday packages will be extra special and they’ll love the wrap as much as the gift inside.

oct-giftWrap-001Our personalized wrapping paper is of the highest quality.  Some of our favorite gift wrap designs are the classics like the batiks and the polka dots, featuring an imprint of your choice.  We also love many of the more vintage looks for holiday.  This is not the generic gift wrap you will find at your local store.  This is truly special quality wrap that is personalized.  Both unique and functional, this gift wrap will provide fun and fashion to your gift giving experience.  Oh, also it’s really nice to remember that no gift card is needed, as your custom message is printed right on the wrapping paper!   In fact, we’ve really never given a gift in our special wrapping paper where the recipient didn’t ooh and ahh.

oct-giftWrap-002Our wrap is printed using a unique multi-step process similar to embossing or letterpress printing. Our wonderful stock is made from heavy weight genuine gift wrap and you will appreciate the quality thickness when you use it as it holds up to the folding and cutting very well.   You can select from a nice selection of designs from floral to holiday, for kids and adult gift packaging, and perfect for every occasion.

You can make your presentation as unique as the gift itself.  Gift wrap also makes a unique gift to give to friends and family and is also easy and fun to use for yourself.   We offer a 12-foot rolls and 24-foot rolls personalized with your imprint. Many of the designs have glossy finishes and some are more traditional and non-glossy.   Width of each roll is 24-inches or 30-inches long depending on the design. To give you an idea of how much wrap this is, one 12-foot roll wraps approximately 5 or 6 shirt boxes.  Your imprint will repeat continuously and for most designs you can select from the typestyle and imprint color you prefer.

Make a hit this holiday season with personalized gift wrap for a very unique gift giving experience!

Deeply Engraved Sandcarved Glassware

13 Oct

oct-jc-005For glassware and crystal items that are personalized with a very deep impression, look for products that say they are engraved with a sand carving process.  The Stationery Studio really is one of only a few websites which offers this process and we are confident that you will see and feel the quality which adds to the enjoyment of the products.  We also offer wonderful 3-letter monograms instead of what you might see elsewhere, which is often a single initial monogram.  Your glassware will be a truly personalized, deep etch sand carved product and you can see and feel the difference. Many of our glassware that is marked Deep Etched is created with equipment and special materials developed and manufactured specifically for our unique method.

oct-jc-002What exactly is our sand carving process? First, a photo mask is applied to the surface that’s being carved. Then, an abrasive, sand-like material (such as aluminum oxide) is propelled onto that surface.  Sand carving consists of blowing an abrasive at a surface using compressed air. Where the abrasive hits glass it roughens, or eventually erodes, the surface of the glass.   The abrasive carves the surface only in the open areas of the stencil, while the areas covered by the photo mask remains smooth and spotless.  As a result, the impression made in the glass, crystal or stone cleanly follows the pattern of the photo mask. When sand carving applied to glass, it can create beautiful three-dimensional images that appear to be suspended in mid air.

You may have heard of “etching” on glass or “engraving” on glass and that refers to a technique where the glass is simply roughened to produce a translucent “white” area on the surface.  Sandcarving is a process in which glass is actually carved away leaving a gorgeous deep imprint without damaging the integrity of the glass. Most others only “sandblast” the surface lightly to create the etched look but our carving methods provide a fabulous deep quality imprint.

The design is first rendered as a “line drawing”, with line weights (thicknesses) carefully selected to reflect the needs of the processes that follow.  The artist will generally use a computer in this process, to ensure that the lines have a consistent quality.  Most quality sandcarving is done using freehand line drawings, with the artist incorporating the limitations of the medium into the design, as it develops.  Once the design is complete, a mask must be constructed to prevent the abrasive from carving the glass in areas to be left “clear”.

Other websites only use either a chemical etch, or a very light sand carving process with hardly any depth, or heaven forbid a milky white silkscreen process to make customers believe that their glassware is “etched”.   Most other sand carvers utilize equipment that only allows them to do what would be considered “standard sandblasting”.   Our quality control methods for our elegant sandcarving create a look you will be proud of and a product that will stand the test of time.

Best wishes,
