Gifts for Graduates who Travel
As all the kids packed their things, turned in their keys and said their goodbyes to their friends, their future plans started to move closer to focus. Many are traveling with friends or family in the next few weeks before they all officially begin a new chapter in their lives.
Robbie graduated from the Kelley School of Business from Indiana University. Many of his friends graduated with majors like business, engineering, informatics, marketing and more and a good number will be doing a fair amount of travel for their first jobs, especially those in consulting jobs.
When considering smart graduation gifts, I like to think about what an individual will be doing for their first jobs, and where they will be living, and what sort of interests they may have, in order to select a gift I think that will just right. Of course, sometimes the most useful gift is a check as that is always something that’s appreciated. But most often I’ll order a personalized gift that I think might be appropriate, either something work-related or for their new apartment if they are moving out of their parent’s house.
For those that will be traveling, a new monogrammed canvas garment bag, a matching weekender, custom luggage tags, personalized passport holders and other similar items might be the perfect ticket. Travel gifts will certainly be well used trip after trip, whether for work or just to occasionally visit their friends on weekends.
Personalized travel-related gifts add to the whole professional look. For personal travel, it’s also nice to feel sophisticated when they visit friends. Related gifts include an embossed leather dopp kit, embroidered cosmetic bag, leather ticket holder, leather monogrammed wallet, and personalized executive stationery.
Wishing all the recent graduates a future of success and happiness!
