Take a Break with Spring Travel Plans

jan-travel-001This is a great time of year to make some travel plans for Spring.  Are you planning any travel?  Some like to go to warm climates and chill in the sun and some like to go to colder climates and enjoy outdoor activities like skiing and snowmobiling.  If you can’t get away on a bigger trip, it’s also a great time to take a weekend car trip just for a change of scenery and a little break if you can.  There are so many pretty and interesting things to see and do close to home for so many of us.

jan-travel-002When traveling it’s always fun to have a wonderful big travel bag with you where you can stuff in your purse, a book, water bottle and a scarf and other essentials. I love the tranquil seafoam green color of the leather tote bag, zip case and wallet. The color makes me feel like I am at the beach or in just some warm tropical locale.

jan-travel-003If you are flying, we have new pretty silver luggage tags, passport covers, silk cosmetic bags and even a big new black weekend canvas bag to help you both organize your luggage in style.

And I always travel with a big summer weight or winter weight pashmina which is handy for a layer of warmth on a plane or in a car and is also great as a great accent over a shirt or sweater for day or night.  No matter what type of traveler you are, whether you like to travel light and easy or if you can’t decide what you need to bring so you pack your whole closet, it’s nice to  have some new fresh travel accessories to bring with you.

What are some of your favorite spring trips?  Mexico with your friends?  Seattle with your family?  Los Angeles or Florida to see the studio tours and theme parks?  Are there some little towns around the southwest or midwest you love to visit, a diner you just love to go to, some museums or galleries you enjoy?  Or do you prefer to do outdoor trips like horseback riding at a ranch, walking around a big city to see all the stores and theater, or finding a very small town somewhere and just browsing and getting lost in all the quaint little places to visit?

jan-travel-005Are you reading anything special these days?  Let me know if you’ve heard of any good books.  I just finished Amy Poehler’s Yes Please, Tina Fey’s Bossypants and Barbara Walter’s Audition.  I’m also in the middle of a book about the history of Nordstroms.  It’s fun to get involved in a book and relax, maybe see a movie or two, get some fresh air and take a break from cooking and your daily grind.  I also enjoy not sitting at the computer all day for a little bit!

Since we are half way through winter at this point, March and April is a popular get-away time of year and it’s really just around the corner.  So plan something special for you and your family or ask a friend or two to join you on a little break.  It’s wonderful to have something big or small to look forward to.

Happy travels,

Renee
