As Pantone released the new colors of the year and the winners are Pantone 13-1520 TCX (Rose Quartz) and Pantone 14-3919-TCX (Serenity), also known as baby pink and baby blue.  This year Pantone changed up their color predictions and selected not one, but two colors they feel strongly about. Pretty pastels.  Oh, we adore you.

According to Pantone, “As consumers seek mindfulness and well-being as an antidote to modern day stresses, welcoming colors that psychologically fulfill our yearning for reassurance and security are becoming more prominent. Joined together, Rose Quartz and Serenity demonstrate an inherent balance between a warmer embracing rose tone and the cooler tranquil blue, reflecting connection and wellness as well as a soothing sense of order and peace.”

We think that these colors are soothing, sweet and perfect for the new year.  Some of our favorites items which reflect this color palate include these selections.

It’s expected that next year many household goods will reflect these colors including nail polish, kitchen accessories, clothing, household items, stationery, party accents, notepads and more.  Color is meant to inspire moods and these are indeed happy and peaceful colors. These two beautiful colors are perfectly suited for so many items.

We hope the 2016 New Year will be as beautiful and sweet to all as the Rose Quartz and Serenity colors are.
