Trends of Personalized Stationery & Home Accents Continue to Flourish in 2013

In this electronic age with all its digital and high tech tools for shopping and communicating, the world of classic paper continues to flourish.  Each year there are more new designs and methods of personalization than we can count.  This holds true from stationery to notepads to home accents, personal organization, holiday gifting and party products.

Customers who appreciate personalized gifts can expect nothing less than a fabulous holiday season this year with everything from gorgeous, affordable letterpress and stationery sets to personalized melamine, phone covers, collegiate gifts, acrylic wine glass sets, engraved crystal, memorable holiday cards to many more areas making gifting both thoughtful and useful.  In addition, party planning has never been so entertaining with quality personalized disposable linen napkins bringing cocktail hour to the next level plus personalized appetizer and dinner plates, cocktail glasses and vintage placemats to add a personal touch to your events.

One of the current trends is to provide personalized products that are made in America.  At The Stationery Studio, most of the items we sell are made in America and just about all of the items are carefully and skillfully finished and personalized in the U.S.A.  Other trends include delicate cut-out invitations, chalkboard inspired designs, elements of lace designs, hand-glittered elements, hand-bordered note cards, triple thick stocks, and on-fashion trend for color and style from hues in the blues and greens.  Also, custom custom custom is everywhere – using customer’s photographs and personal artwork/logos on everything from napkins to party plates to stationery.

We have seen the resurgence of really gorgeous typesetting as if products were hand-lettered by a seasoned calligrapher.  Mixing large script letters and clean block fonts gives a fabulous look to typesetting and gives a must-have look to many products.  In addition, we see monograms everywhere, from initial block monograms to elegant interconnecting script monograms.  These are a very hot trend in 2013 across all segments of the personalized market from paper goods to jewelry to home accents, to holiday gifts, party supplies and even cupcake toppers.  There is nothing more unique and sophisticated than a monogram.

We are seeing many products that feature mixed scripts which gives a very custom look to invitations, note cards, luggage tags, calling cards and more.  In terms of color, the word of fashion inspires our industry each and every year and this year has been no different.  Right now we are enjoying the beautiful shades of blue from navy to sapphire to aqua to the many tones of green including the color of 2013 Emerald.  Next year we look forward to the bold and rich tones of red and claret and oxblood which will give a fresh take on many custom gifts.  From graphic patterns surrounding a unique monogram to vintage and nostalgic designs, there are many new looks that allow the refined classics to shine and stay on trend with the fashion markets.

Warmly,

Renee
