Behind the scenes: Fall Pumpkin Custard Squares

Hello Stationery Studio fans!  Today we’re going behind the scenes, which will be a new feature where we highlight fun things happening at The Stationery Studio.  Every week we will be bringing you some great party ideas, stationery tips and everything related to the wonderful world of stationery and gifting.   We will also be posting our ‘Behind the Scenes”  to give you a glimpse into the daily lives of the staff at The Stationery Studio.

A  little about me … My name is Jennifer and I am the Public Relations Manager at The Stationery Studio.  I recently started working here after running my own Public Relations company.  I was so excited to be a part of The Stationery Studio as I live and breath anything paper.  I have been a paper addict since before I could tie my own shoes!  Beautiful, personalized stationery is a thrill to me so that should speak volumes about what drew me to this company.

What’s so great about working here is not only the great products we carry.  It’s the amazing food you always find in the break room when someone over bakes or brings in leftover desserts from a party.  The good thing? I also love to bake so I was so excited to share my goodies as well.  I came across this recipe in my new Family Circle magazine for Pumpkin Custard Squares and decided I had to make them.  A friend of mine just had surgery so what better excuse to make these yummy treats?

Click this  link to find the recipe to the delicious squares I made.  I will share with you some swaps I did to make them a little healthier:

Instead of eggs, I use egg substitute.

For sugar, I used sugar substitute.

For butter I substituted a healthy Omega spread instead.

These pumpkin squares would be great to bring over to a new neighbor, a friend who had a baby, or why not just make them for yourself?  I hope you love them as much as I do. Everyone at the office loved them and they didn’t last long in our break room, either!

Would love to hear what your favorite fall treat is.  You never know … we might make them and share them here at The Stationery Studio!

Happy Writing!

XOXO

Jennifer
